"What, so you don't want it?"

Ah, Valentine's Day. A day where boys try their hardest to impress the girl of their dreams. Elite Four Flint's younger brother Buck was no exception.

"Obviously not, since I'm giving the egg to you."

His friend, Adee, was holding the mentioned egg. It was tan with little red, circular prints all over it. The young blonde turned it around carefully.

"What kind of egg is it?"

Buck shrugged. "Dunno. I found it in Stark Mountain. It was kinda just sitting there and I didn't wanna leave it to get cold or broken or something."

"Okay... but why give it to me?"

The red head looked over his shoulder from where he was sitting. "Because I didn't feel like giving it to anyone else."

Adee walked over to one of the windows in the room. From it, one could see a sparkling blue ocean with white crashing waves, happy people swimming and having fun, and a herd of Wailord floating around. A few Wingull and Pelipper dotted the skies, and with the height of the apartment bulding, one could see Foento, the island where the Pokemon Elite Four building stood.

Leaning against it, the girl continued, "That makes no sense. You never give me anything without wanting to take it back later. There has to be some sort of ca--"

"There isn't, okay?!! What the heck is your problem? Maybe I wanna be nice for a change! It's freakin' Valentine's Day!"

Adee went red from the neck up. "It's... a present? For me?"

Buck sighed and ran a hand through his hair, which wasn't in its usual, spiky ponytail. "Yes. It's a present for you for Valentine's Day."

"But, I didn't get you anything..."

"That's fine. I'd... just... Ah, never mind. I hate mushy stuff."

The blonde rolled her eyes. "Way to kill a moment, Cornil."

"Buck."

"So?"

Silence.

"Do you want me to tell you when it hatches?' Adee asked.

Buck shrugged. "Sure, whatever."
